Privacy Policy for Astral Editor
This policy explains how we handle personal data related to the astraleditor.com website. It applies only to this website and does not cover the editor deployed on the websites of PPC ONE clients; on those websites, the controller is always their operator.
1. Controller
The controller is PPC ONE s.r.o., Korunní 2569/108, 101 00 Praha 10, Czech Republic, Company ID 05931631, VAT ID CZ05931631. You can contact us through the contact form or by mail at the address above.
2. Contact form
The contact form is the only place where you enter personal data on this website; traffic measurement is described in section 3. You fill in your name, email address, and message text. No other information is needed to submit the form, and we do not look up any further information about you on our own.
We use this data solely to reply to you and to arrange next steps. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For general inquiries, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We keep submitted messages for no longer than 24 months from our last communication.
The form is protected from bots by a hidden field and the Cloudflare Turnstile service. Turnstile loads only when you open the form. It does not use advertising cookies or track you across websites. It evaluates only technical browser signals to distinguish a person from a bot.
3. Traffic measurement and what the site doesn’t do
Apart from the contact form, this website is static: there is no login and no shopping cart. We measure traffic with Rybbit, which we run on our own server hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. We derive statistics from individual visits: which pages are read, including parameters in the page address, which links to other websites visitors click, where visitors come from (the referring website and an approximate city-level location derived from the IP address), and which devices and browsers they use. Rybbit does not store IP addresses and sets no cookies. To tell visitors apart and recognize returning ones, it creates a one-way fingerprint (hash) from the IP address and browser identification. The fingerprint stays the same as long as you use the same IP address and browser, and it is the same on the other websites we measure with this tool. When it loads, the script also saves a random identifier, rybbit-visitor-id, in your browser’s local storage; with our settings it is not sent to the server, and you can delete it by clearing this site’s data in your browser. We keep visit records without a fixed time limit, because we use them to compare how traffic develops over the long term; we delete them once we no longer need them for that. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used and improving it, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, and you can object to this processing. We use no advertising scripts and no automated decision-making. Apart from our measurement, the only thing loaded from another domain is the form protection described above, and only once you open the form.
4. Server logs
The server that runs this website logs standard technical data about visits: IP address, date and time, page URL, browser type, and referring page. We use this data to operate the website, troubleshoot errors, and protect it against attacks.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in operating a secure and functional website. Logs are retained for no longer than 3 months and are then deleted automatically.
5. Processors
The website is delivered and protected by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). Traffic between visitors and the PPC ONE server passes through Cloudflare, so Cloudflare processes technical data, including IP addresses, in order to deliver content and defend against attacks.
The website and submitted messages are stored on a PPC ONE server hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, within the EU. Notifications of new messages go to PPC ONE’s own mailbox and are delivered by the email service of Seznam.cz a.s.
6. Cookies
The website itself sets only one functional cookie, ae_lang. It remembers your chosen language (Czech or English), is set on your first visit based on your browser language or when you switch languages, and lasts one year. It is not used for tracking or measurement, which is why the website has no cookie banner. In rare cases, while protecting against bots, Cloudflare may set a technical cookie that is necessary to deliver the page. No consent is required for this cookie, because the website cannot be provided securely without it.
Traffic measurement (section 3) uses no cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is the random identifier in local storage described above.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can exercise these rights through the contact form or by mail at the controller’s address.
If you believe the processing violates applicable rules, you may file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz.
8. Changes
We may update this policy if the way the website operates changes. The current version is always available on this page.
